The Problem

Parents and educators often struggle to effectively identify and nurture children’s strengths, especially in nontraditional areas like entrepreneurship and AI. Existing tools and educational methods fail to provide personalized insights that connect children’s unique talents to future opportunities. For homeschool networks, K-12 institutions, and nonprofits, there is a growing need for a solution that bridges this gap and supports the development of essential skills for future careers.


Solution

TalentExplorer helps children aged 6-17 discover their top three talents from ten possibilities. Each talent is paired with personalized guides for parents and educators, offering actionable steps to nurture these strengths. Built using OpenAI API, Zapier, Jotform, and Knack, TalentExplorer provides a seamless, data-driven experience for talent discovery.

Process

  1. Talent Mapping: I researched and defined ten key talents that reflect diverse creative, analytical, and leadership capabilities, ensuring broad applicability to real-world contexts.
  2. Tool Integration: I developed a tool that utilizes OpenAI’s API for talent matching, Zapier for workflow automation, and Knack for backend data management. The tool collects user inputs via Jotform and generates personalized reports for each child.
  3. Personalized Reporting: Each report offers tailored insights on nurturing identified talents through project-based learning, aligning children’s strengths with emerging career paths.
  4. Visual Design and User Experience: Using Canva and Figma, I crafted an intuitive and engaging interface that speaks to both children and parents.
  5. Testing and Iteration: Continuous feedback from parents and educators was integrated to enhance the talent-matching process and the usefulness of reports.

Each module was designed to help learners master key real estate strategies, with a focus on retention:

  • Talent Discovery: Students explored their strengths and connected them to future AI careers.
