Build and Launch Your Business with Confidence

A dynamic eLearning course guiding young entrepreneurs through every stage of business creation, from ideation to pitching, with engaging videos, interactive challenges, and real-world applications.

Audience

Aspiring young entrepreneurs (ages 6-17) learning how to develop business ideas and take them from concept to launch. Designed for students seeking an interactive and engaging way to gain entrepreneurial skills.

Role

Lead Instructional Designer and Developer

The Problem

Young students interested in entrepreneurship often lack structured guidance to take their ideas from inception to execution. Traditional business education resources were either too complex or too theoretical for this age group. The challenge was to create an engaging, step-by-step course that simplified business concepts while fostering creativity and real-world skills.

Solution

Developed an 8-lesson eLearning course hosted in Genially, guiding students through the entire entrepreneurial journey—from defining a business idea to launching a business. The course includes interactive features like bonus videos, mini-challenges, and a collaboration corner for peer learning. Each lesson focuses on building a critical aspect of business, such as relationships, processes, or marketing, using hands-on activities, quizzes, and real-world examples to teach core skills.

My Process

  1. Needs Assessment and Curriculum Design: Conducted an initial analysis of the entrepreneurship knowledge gap among young learners. Based on this, I outlined an 8-step curriculum, focusing on essential business skills such as ideation, relationship-building, product creation, and marketing.
  2. Content Development and Instructional Strategy: I designed each lesson to focus on a different aspect of business creation. For instance, one lesson guided students through creating a value proposition, while another focused on developing a marketing strategy. The instructional strategy incorporated project-based principles to encourage self-directed learning, which is critical for young entrepreneurs.

  3. Interactive Design in Genially: Using Genially, I developed interactive, visually engaging lessons with embedded quizzes and videos. Each lesson had interactive components like clickable diagrams, drag-and-drop exercises, and collaboration areas where students could connect and brainstorm with peers. Real-world examples tied the lessons to practical entrepreneurship challenges.

  4. Visual Design: The course visuals were developed in Leonardo and Canva to make the learning experience dynamic and approachable.

  5. Launch and Integration in Google Classroom: The course was accessible in Google Classroom, which allowed for tracking student progress, submission of assignments, and peer interaction in discussion forums. Students could easily navigate lessons, view their progress, and access collaborative resources.
